My illustration for Zac Kish's dark and tragic short story was inspired by one of my favorite painting's, Christina's World by Andrew Wyeth. I felt that the suggested narrative of the original painting although much more open-ended in terms of interpretation fit well with the story's themes and setting and always wanted to try a reimagined take on it more in the surreal horror genre.
